Why we need funds
In order to provide expert witnesses to rebut any
Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) we need to fundraise to pay for
their time. We are fortunate so far that some experts and professionals
have chosen to provide some services to the campaign for free - to those
we say Thank-You!
Unfortunately, to be taken seriously, we WILL need to produce documentation
and other representations to refute the proposed Mineral Extraction and
the studies / supporting documents that will be produced. These expert documents
will require specialists to be employed on our behalf to produce documents
that will 'stand-up' in a court of law.
We will use your money to invest in further fundraising events. Some events will require advertising, resources and occasionally third party support (e.g. experienced people, caterers, prizes etc.)
At all times we will endeavour to use your money wisely and appropriately.
Should our campaign be successful or it is decided to cease it, we will return any money remaining back to those who have donated on a pro-rata basis.
The committee would like to thank all of our wonderful supporters
who have donated items, cash or time to help our fundraising. We still need
more but it is very exciting to see your willingness to take part in our
campaign. We have an excellent committee who regularly donate both their
time and money towards these events, but if every family who would be affected
by these gravel extractions, were to donate just one item, imagine how many
items you would have.
If you can donate an item for a fundraiser like a raffle, or give your time
to help fundraise, then please contact Chris Colby on 677606
and arrangements can be made to include your gift.

Sun 29th June 2008 - Clay Pigeon Shoot
The Clay shoot was very well attended and raised around £800 to help pay for professional help to fight the proposed gravel extraction.
The signs directing people to the event were mysteriously disappearing as fast as our volunteers could put them up - thankfully with a bit of ingenuity and a visit from the local police, signage directed over 60 people to the event. The sun shone, the guns blasted and the barbeque wafted across the field. A successful day and a fantastic atmosphere.
The Winners were:
| 1st Place | 42 Points | £100 | Neil Beddingfield |
| 2nd Place | 40 Points | £60 | R. Croft |
| 3rd Place | 39 Points | £40 | Robbie Sharman |
| Woman's Winner | 32 Points | Tanya's for Beauty |
Karen Beddingfield |

Fundraising ideas
We are always looking for ideas to raise some money, ideas such as a village garage sale, American style; or a charity football match have been suggested. Got an idea? Come to one of the Committee meetings, or contact one of the members and present your idea. If we choose it, be prepared to get involved!
